At around 150€ you can find a good basic RC-car for outdoor driving. If your budget is on the lower side we trecommend you focus on the smaller cars but in this 150-250€ price category you'll already find quality 1/10th scale cars that'll get you going. According to our experience the biggest mistake you can make is starting off with a cheap car from an unknown brand. In a case like that the hobby uusually dies off when the car's unreliability becomes apparent and you can't find parts for it either.
In this price category you have great options such as the brushed 4WD cars by Absima or the legendary Traxxas Rustler.
The 4WD cars by Absima are cheap, versatile and work as they should. They come equipped with standard sized electronics which makes modifying them easy. Spare parts and option parts are also available. If you want a car that's still operational a year from now for under 200€ the Absima 4WD cars are definitely the perfect option for you!
Losi has tiny 1/16th and 1/18th scale cars that work great both indoors and outdoors. These are the made for the person who wants the best handling capabilities and quality they can get in a size this small. For the average hobbyist a 1/10th scale car is more versatile but these little cars are crazy fun in the right place. you can also limit the power of these so they work great for the younger drivers as well.
If the track is calling for you the Carten M210 is a very good option for you. There are a few ready to run options available that have slight differences such as the body and tires. Overall it's a great way to get used to driving on RC tracks.
In the upper range of this price category you'll find the 2WD cars by Traxxas. Good examples of these are the Rustler and Bandit. These are legendary cars that have been around since the '80s. The newsest revisions of these are still up to par with today's modern RC cars. If you want a reliable 2WD RC car you should definitely look into these.
