When it comes to RC-cars, it's important to remember that there is a wide variety available. You've got the toys you can find at the supermarket, then you've got the hobby-grade RC's and everything in between. Our focus has always been quality hobby-grade cars. The ways hobby-grade cars differ from what you can get at the nearest supermarket are for example performance, durability, serviceability and most of all quality.
-The car's performance. the car needs enough performance to provide excitement to the driver so they don't get bored right away.
-The car's versatility. The car's power should be able to be limited so that the whole family can enjoy driving.
-The car's durability. The car should be able to withstand regular use as well as the occasional crashes well enough. RC-cars' performance is amazing and if you drive it into a wall at full speed it's most definitely going to break. However, we expect our cars to be able to drive away from most of the crashes and leave the driver in awe asking themself "How did it survive that?"
-The availability of parts for the car. This means that you can find spare parts as well as some aftermarket parts in some cases in our selection. We also try our best to ensure that we have parts in stock and continue the part support for the cars for multiple years. Yhat's why we favor manufacturers that we're sure will provide support for their cars for multiple years.
-Support for the car. The car should have parts available decently, there should be instructions and videos regarding maintenance and service, and you can get help with the car from our customer service for as long as you have it.
By buying a proper hobby-grade car you'll surely get the most out of RC-cars.
A quick summary as to why you should buy a hobby-grade RC-car from us:
If you buy a hobby-grade RC-car from us you'll have the best possible odds of having the car still running after a couple of years.
This means that the car is good enough to keep you lured in and the serviceability is good enough for you to be able to fix and maintain the car over the years. You'll get such good customer service, tips and help from us that the hobby stays fun and easy. Our goal is to keep our customers interested in the hobby years after making their first purchase from us.
We've split our picks into 4 different price categories:
50€-150€ - Small off-roaders and monsters
The cars in this price category are significantly better than the cars you'll find at the supermarket but they might not tick all the boxes to be counted as hobby-grade cars. If your experience in RC-cars is limited to toy-grade cars the performance will surely surprise you in the most positive of ways and you'll have a great chance of keeping these in use for multiple years. In this class the Absima 1/18-1/14 cars provide incredible value for the price, especially the 1/14 cars is almost fully hobbygrade with great driveability, durability and parts availability.

150€-250€ - 1/10 Rear wheel drive and 4wd hobby-grade cars
Our picks in this price category tick all the boxes of a hobby-grade vehicle and you'll be ready to stay in the hobby for the years to come with these. These cars are 1/10 scale which is the most popular size in RC cars. 1/10 cars works great in the dirt, on the grass and on all off-road places and usually they work significantly better than 1/18-1/14 size cars. 1/10 scale cars also are usually equipped with "standard size" electronics meaning they work better and are much easier to repair and upgrade than smaller cars. 1/10 is usually the best size we suggest you start out with.
The Absima 1/10 cars offers amazing value for their price, they are 4wd, they have standard size electronics and they have great drivability, they simply offer a great amount of RC car for the price.

250€-500€ - 4WD hobby-grade cars
The cars in this category are probably the best bang for your buck. These cars are full-on hobby-grade cars with crazy performance, and they have great potential to be modified and built so that they can evolve with you. The cars at 250-350 euros are equipped with brushed electronics(apart from Absima cars that have Brushless) and from that point out the cars generally come with brushless systems (aside from the crawlers). The brushless electronics are better, they've got more power, better efficiency and are more reliable. The top speed of the cars with brushed electronics is right around 40-50km/h while the brushless systems will propel the cars to around 50-100km/h. You can also put brushless electronics in a car with brushed electronics when you want more performance, so even if you start off with a car with brushed electronics you can turn it into a brushless beast later on.
In this prize class we also have the Team Associated RB10 race ready 2wd buggy which is perfect for you who wants to race. The RB10 is ready for "real" RC racing straight from the box and it has great driveability also on your backyard racetrack.
Our most popular car in this class are the ARRMA 4x4 cars and especially the Granite Mega and BLX. They have been over most sold trucks for years and it is easy to see why, the cars are 4wd, have a great platform, and are prety much the perfect choice for your first RC-car.
The newest addition to this price category is the 4x2 chassis from ARRMA. It's based after the ever so popular 4x4 chassis, but has been made into 2WD trucks to lower the initial cost of getting into the hobby. The trucks can later be upgraded into 4x4 vehicles and have a wide variety of optional parts already available thanks to the success of the 4x4 chassis. With batteries and chargers the price of these trucks will fit into this range regardless of which route you want to take with them.

Frequently asked questions
-Should I get a 2WD or a 4WD car?
Both the 2WD and 4WD cars are good, and the question really comes down to personal preference. A 2WD car is generally cheaper and lighter, giving it more run time. A 4WD will have less trouble on certain terrains and is more versatile, as it will drive on pretty much any terrain. Handling-wise a 4WD is usually easier to drive and has more potential in the performance department. The "Wow"-factor is usually bigger with the 4WD cars. All of that is why 4WD cars are generally more popular and what we recommend, but if the budget is tight our top pick would be a 2WD car.
-How big are these cars?
The car's scale will tell you the answer to that. A 1/10th scale car's dimensions are essentially a tenth of its full-size counterpart. For example, a 1/10th scale car's length is often just under 50cms, while a 1/18th scale car's length is right around 25cms. A 1/8th scale car's length would be about 60cms. We always recommend a 1/10th scale car for a first car. They have enough ride-height to go over obstacles when you're out and about. They're also big enough to be fairly easy to work on. Being the most popular size category, they usually also have the most and the widest variety of batteries, motors, servos and tires available. Usually a 1/10th scale 2WD will do better on difficult terrains than a 1/18th scale 4WD because the difference in size is that significant.
-Are the hobby-grade cars you sell really that much better than the toy-grade cars you'll find anywhere?
Yes. The difference is really significant, and you can rest assured you're going to be impressed when you see the performance of our cars
-Can I drive these cars in the winter?
Yes, you can! Most of the cars are waterproof and work well during the winter too. You should however clean the cars properly after driving in any conditions that leave the car wet. Make sure to spray the car down with some sort of a multi-function oil that prevents the bearings and other metal parts from getting rusty. If you have a car where the receiver is not protected from water you might want to protect is somehow with some tape or a baloon, if the receiver gets wet it might not work properly (however it usually starts working again once dry)
-Can a kid drive these?
Yes! The youngest drivers are usually from 3-4 years old. Remember to limit the power from the transmitter(or by putting somethin physical behind the throttle trigger so it doesn't go fully to the bottom) so that driving would be easier for the young driver and so that the car wouldn't break upon impact. If the kid is very young, the parents can operate the throttle at first and let the kid do the steering.
-My kid is so young, wouldn't a toy-grade car be enough?
A hobby-grade car is a long-term investment. When you buy your kid a hobby-grade car they (and you) can drive it for years and limiting the power will make driving it easy enough for the youngest in the family. Then you can gradually bring the power up as they progress. The toy-grade cars often don't live up to the expectations.
-Do the cars come assembled and what do I have to do to get driving?
RTR-cars usually come pre-assembled unless it has been noted that it requires assembly. Make sure that the package you order comes with a battery and a charger, in some packages they have to be bought separately and in others it comes from the factory. The battery is usually about halfway full, so you should charge it before the first drive (a tip for Santa Claus: charge the battery a night before so it'll be ready for action once the wrapper is off). The transmitter usually requires 4 AA-batteries that are usually not included. It's recommended to go through the car before the first drive to see that nothing is broken, and all the screws and nuts are nice and tight.
-I'd like to build my car myself, is that possible?
Nowadays most of the cars come assembled from the factory, you can find the unassembled cars here: Electric Kits . Even though the car is assembled, you can still work on it if you'd like to. Changing the shock oils will make the car handle differently, adjusting ride height may make the car more suitable for your application and you can equip the car with more powerful electronics to increase performance. A screwdriver will come in handy as often as you like. Fortunately for those who don't enjoy these kinds of things, the cars don't generally require too much fixing or maintenance, so you can focus on driving.
-How does the warranty of RC-cars work and what to do if the car breaks down?
All RC-cars have some sort of a warranty. The duration and coverage will differ among different manufacturers. Warranties cover manufacturing defects. If your car doesn't work right out of the box that'll obviously be covered under warranty. If the car suddenly breaks down within the first few drives with no explanation, that'll be covered in most cases too. If the car breaks due to a hard hit or a lack of maintenance, it will not be covered under warranty as it isn't a manufacturing defect. A typical warranty case would be a servo or an electronic speed controller breaking down without any hard hits etc.
When your car breaks down and you need help getting it back up and running again you can always contact our customer support. We try to resolve all the possible warranty cases so that you'll get the car back out there as soon as possible and with as little hassle as possible. We'll also help you find the spare parts and give you instructions on how to go about fixing the vehicle even if the problem isn't covered under warranty. Remember that the car is a hobby-grade car and therefore will need maintenance and fixing if broken. If you can't fix it yourself, we offer service. The pricing may vary but starts at 40€ for an hour.
We actively test the cars we sell and here's a few videos on how we go on about such tests:
