HB racing uusin huippu 1/10 krossari. Legandaarisen kestävään ja nopeaan D413 autoon perustuva D418 todisti nopeutensa heti ensimmäisissä arvokisoissaan 2017 Maailmanmestaruuskisoissa Kiinassa. Siellä David Ronnefalk otti D418 protoautollaan toisen sijan, eikä voitttokaan jäännyt kauaksi. Viimeisen finaalin johto oli jo selvä ennen paria ajovirhettä jotka sitten tiputti Ronnefalkin pois voitosta jääden kisassa toiseksi.
D418 jatkoi siis siitä mihin edeltäjä D413 jäi. Viime MM kisoissa 2015 Ronnefalk nappasi silloisella D413 autolla kolmospaikan ja kaksi vuotta aikaisemmin 2013 Ty Tessman nappasi kolmosijan tehden HB Racingistä ainoan valmistajan joka on ollut MM kisojen nelivedon podiumilla viimeiset kolme MM kisaa. Euroopanmestaruus 2018 David Ronnefalkin käsissä näytti taas auton hurjan vauhdin.
Mitä on sitten uutta? D413 oli loistava kokonaisuus mutta se oli alun perin suunniteltu saviradoille. Mattoradoilla tarvitaan hieman erillaisia ajoominaisuuksia ja D418 on optimoitu niin että se toimii loistavasti sekä matolla että savella.
Vaikka vauhti on aina ollut todistetusti nopea D413 autossa sen isoin vahvuus oli kuitenkin perusharrastelijalle huippu kestävyys ja D413 autolla olikin maine autosta joka on lähes mahdoton hajottaa. HB Racing jatkoi tätä filosofiaa uuden auton kanssa ja uusi D418 on varmasti yksi markkinoiden kestävimmistä autoista.

New for the D418 is an aluminum chassis with raised side guards, similar to the successful 1/8 D817 buggy. HB’s trademark monocoque suspension arms now come in a harder material as standard equipment for precise suspension and handling response. The center bulkhead is now split for easier and quicker access to the center differential. The highly adjustable suspension now has revised suspension travel and shock length for improved performance. And, the D418 kit is now topped with a clear JConcepts 4WD buggy body and JConcepts wing.
